Live Fish Shipping Schedule
We’re super careful about getting your fish to you happy and healthy! To do that, we ship live fish only on Mondays so they spend the least time in transit and avoid weekend delays.
We reserve the right to delay shipments based on weather conditions to ensure the safety of the fish.
When you place an order for fish, it goes through a 1-week hold where we observe them closely and prepare them for shipping.
During this time:
- Fish are monitored for health
- Fish are fasted for at least 48 hours before shipping
Fasting helps keep the shipping water clean and prevents waste buildup that could harm your fish during transit.
Orders placed Monday through Sunday will ship the following Monday (weather permitting).
Example:
If you place an order on Sunday, your fish will ship the Monday after the upcoming Monday, not the next day.
Live Fish Shipping Costs
Shipping costs for live fish are calculated automatically at checkout based on your location. This ensures the correct UPS Next Day Air rate is applied.
How We Ship
We ship all live fish using UPS Next Day Air to minimize travel time and stress.
To improve delivery success, we strongly recommend shipping to your nearest UPS Store for pickup. UPS Stores typically receive shipments earlier and keep them indoors away from temperature extremes.
To protect your fish during transit:
- Heat packs are included when necessary based on weather conditions.
Shipping Guarantee
We want your order to arrive safely and correctly.
Please note:
- We guarantee delivery to the address provided at checkout.
- Please double-check your shipping information before placing your order.
- Live fish cannot be shipped to PO Boxes.
If an address correction is required after shipping, the carrier charges a $25 non-refundable rerouting fee.
If a package is lost or delayed, claims must be filed with the carrier. We will provide tracking information but are not responsible for carrier delays or lost shipments.
If an item arrives damaged, we will replace it. Additional shipping charges may apply.
Live Arrival Guarantee
Your fish’s health matters to us. We guarantee your fish will arrive alive on the first delivery attempt.
If a fish arrives deceased:
- Contact us within 2 hours of delivery
- Provide clear photos of the unopened bag showing the fish
If approved, we will provide either a replacement or store credit.
Please note:
- Replacement shipping costs are not included
- The guarantee applies only to the first delivery attempt
The guarantee does not cover:
- Carrier delays
- Missed deliveries
- Improper acclimation
- Packages left outside
- Extreme weather delays
What To Do If a Fish Arrives Dead
If your fish arrives deceased:
- Email us within 2 hours of delivery
- Send clear photos of the unopened bag
- If shipped to a UPS Store, include proof of delivery time
After review, we will determine whether a replacement or store credit is appropriate.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Weather & Holiday Delays
Weather and holidays may occasionally require us to hold shipments longer to ensure the safety of the fish.
If this happens, we will notify you and ship your order on the next safe Monday.
Medication Orders
All aquarium medications sold through Angie’s Fish Room are dropshipped directly from our trusted supplier to ensure proper storage, product quality, and reliable fulfillment.
Medication orders are typically processed the next business day, with a handling time of 24–48 hours before shipment.
Please note:
- Medication orders ship separately from other products
- Medications cannot be shipped with live fish orders
- Medications are not eligible for local delivery
- Tracking information will be provided once the order ships
If your order includes medications and other items, multiple shipments may occur.
Local Delivery
We offer free local delivery on orders over $35 within 15 miles of Bristol, TN.
Please note that medications are excluded from local delivery as they ship directly from our trusted supplier.
