Metronidazole Powder is a treatment compound commonly used by experienced aquarists when managing protozoan and internal parasite issues affecting ornamental aquarium fish.
In the aquarium hobby, metronidazole-based treatments are often used when fish exhibit symptoms associated with internal parasites or protozoan infections. It may also be used in combination with other compatible aquarium treatments when broader fish health support is needed.

Treatment Instructions
Remove active carbon, Purigen, ChemiPure or other similar media that would remove medication from the tank. Turn off UV Sterilizers as well. Dosed at 1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons of water after a 25% water change. Continue treatment for 7-10 days, max 14 days.
Maintain good water quality during treatment and monitor fish behavior and aquarium parameters closely throughout the treatment period.
Some aquarists may choose to combine metronidazole with other compatible aquarium treatments when addressing more complex fish health issues.
